Wildland Fire Training will be held at Camp Edwards - Joint Base, Cape Cod, Massachusetts from June 26-30, 2023. Instructional and Logistic Support for this year’s trainings are being provided by the Massachusetts Army National Guard, Oregon Army National Guard, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife, and Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.

This course leads students through the ecological and historical role of fire, characteristics of smoke and the health, safety and visibility impacts of smoke. Other topics include public relations, legal requirements, meteorology, fuel consumption, smoke production dispersion modeling, and operational smoke management strategies. It'll be held from May 8th – 11th, 2023 at the Albany Pine Bush's Discovery Center in Albany, NY.

This course is designed to prepare students to function effectively as members of the Command and General Staff (C&G) on a Type 2 Incident Management Team (IMT). Students will participate in facilitated discussions, classroom exercises, and a simulated incident. Students will be evaluated by assigned coaches using an assessment and feedback rubric.

This five-day course provides students with a solid foundation of the activities, processes, leadership elements, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to function within the framework of a Type 3 All-Hazard Incident Management Team (AHIMT) deployed to an incident or planned event.

The Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Compact (NFFPC) in partnership with the University of Vermont are offering an Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Systems Workshop on March 16-19th.

The Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Compact's 2021 Winter Wildland Fire Academy will be held virtually on March 8-11, 2021.

Announcing the 2019 ESRI Decision-Support Tools for Wildland Fire Management Course, sponsored by the Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Commission and North Atlantic Fire Science Exchange. The course has been scheduled for December 3-5, 2019.

The two-day Risk Management Workshop, facilitated by members of the National Incident Management Organization (NIMO), will provide an introduction and review of risk management concepts and terminology and more. It is scheduled for March 19-20, 2019.

The Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Compact's 2019 Winter Wildland Fire Academy will be held at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn in South Portland, ME from February 25-March 1, 2019.
